Last Saturday, the AZ LoCo team participated in the first coordinated effort between the state user groups to bring an open source conference to our state. User groups from across the state banded together to show how open source can be a viable alternative to proprietary software and operating systems.

We had a great time doing this conference, and all the groups are talking about another conference next year. Our goals were twofold, and I think we did a good job of accomplishing both. Our first goal was to help unite the user groups in the state, and our second was to put on a conference showing how open source computing is gaining momentum and improving every year.
